Monthly Meeting

Join us for the Oak Run Republican Club's monthly meeting.

Our Next Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Oak Run Palm Grove Club.

Note that the May Meeting will consist of a special Marion County School Board Forum featuring candidates running for the Board in the upcoming Primary and eventually in November's Election. IN ADDITION, WE WILL FEATURE A SPECIAL APPEARANCE FROM KAT CAMMACK. Kat (Kathryn Christine Cammack) is our U.S. Congressional Representative (Florida's 3rd congressional district). This will be a chance for you to meet with her, ask questions and see what issues are on her's and our minds.

Note that the position of School Board is an often forgotten, BUT VERY IMPORTANT position in today's world. It helps shape the education of our children here in Marion County and has a big influence on the future of our country. Come hear what these candidates have to say and why their election (and the replacement of some of our current School Board members) is important for Marion County. COME AND "KNOW WHO YOU ARE VOTING FOR!"

The Forum will be held at the Palm Grove and will commence at 1:00 pm with doors opening at 12:00 pm. The Candidates will share their vision, platform and answer questions from attendees.

Thank you to all of our Members and other attendees who attended our numerous meetings and events in 2025. These meetings aim to facilitate informative discussions and keep attendees updated on community services. We look forward to an exceptional 2026!

2026 looks to be an eventful year as we look forward to Mid-Year elections.

Here are some of the events that we are planning (obviously subject to change as the year goes forward.) We'll be looking for Ideas, Suggestions and Volunteers as we plan for a special 250th Anniversary of America's Independence event. Stay tuned!!

Celebrating our

UPCOMING SATURDAY, JUNE 20 MEETING

The Republican Club at Oak Run will host a special meeting to celebrate the nation's 250th Birthday. The meeting will be held at 3:00 PM at the Palm Grove.

Featured speakers will include Florida's Chief Financial Officer (Blaise Ingoglia) and our District's (24th District) Florida House Representative (Ryan Chamberlin).

This is our only Saturday Meeting this year, so it provides a chance for our working Gen-X members to attend!

PLEASE REMEMBER that if you are registered to vote in Florida, but expect to be out-of-state for the upcoming Primary Election Day (August 18), you need to request your "Vote-By-Mail" ballot well before the August 6 Deadline! Please be sure your vote counts. The primary election is IMPORTANT, often more important that the final General Election in November!
